Ο νέος αισθητήρας χαρακτηρίζεται από υψηλή ευαισθησία και γρήγορη απόκριση κατά την ανίχνευση της παρουσίας εξαιρετικά μικρών επιπέδων αερίων χλωροφθοράνθρακα. Για αυτόν τον λόγο, αυτός ο αισθητήρας επιλέχθηκε και ενσωματώθηκε στον ανιχνευτή διαρροών 55900.
Επιπλέον, ένας ισχυρός μικροεπεξεργαστής ενσωματώθηκε στη σχεδίαση και επιλέγει αυτόματα την καλύτερη κατάσταση λειτουργίας για τον αισθητήρα, ώστε να εξασφαλίσει τη βέλτιστη απόδοση καθ’όλη τη διάρκεια ζωής του αισθητήρα.
